MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been impacted by his international reach. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN as his first full-length album. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca, it was the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into a family of musicians both his parents have been musicians. In interviews, Turizo stated that music is an essential part of his life. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he discovered his own talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
