Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She spent the majority of her youth listening to classic music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive training in singing. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in the traditional Latin American music at private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher and performer because of her passion of music and art. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
